After all the hassles, the dealer finally got back to me, saying the correct oil spec for F10 M5 in the region should be 0W-40. They will drain the 10W-60 & refill with 0W-40 for free.
Yes, they suck big time. It's just ridiculous for the dealer to have an owner tell them what the correct oil spec should be.
