Home to Work (and work to home) is approx 25 miles 1 way.
Of that, approximately 10 miles is city (stop lights, max speed of 30-40mph) and the remainder is typically interstate at 60-80 mph depending on whether the "Decatur 200" is in full swing.

I get just over 20 MPG even when I have 1 or 2 instances of "acceleration."

That said, to put it in perspective with my previous car (2006 Infiniti M45), I was only getting around 19 MPG on the same commute.

The M5 is a much more substantial car and I'm very satisfied with the power vs fuel economy figure.
