Unless you are at the track, or an autocross event, I just would not bother with MDM on or DSC off. Even if you are careful, with so much torque in these cars, it is just too easy to get the rear end sideways, which is not the smartest thing to do in traffic. It does not make you any less of a driver, just a smarter one. IMO, that also applies to using launch control on the streets.
