Different motor, different ECU.
The S63tu is notoriously difficult to tune. I don't know a single vendor that has reached the full potential of an ECU tune yet.
Also, the N54 has been out since 2006. The S63tu was only introduced a couple of years ago and there are a lot less M5s on the road.
