I hear you on the 9/10th of the law. My comment was terse, so I'll explain further. I was not suggesting they complete delivery so that I could drive it away. My sole focus on where the cars would be held until the replacement pumps are available is protection from the elements. New cars from the factory have a protective film applied to the horizontal surfaces. Our ED cars do not. If our cars would have had to sit outside waiting for the pumps, I may have considered having my dealer pick it up so that it could be stored indoors until the new pumps were available.

The flip side is I think we're better off having the pumps replaced at the VPC by BMW technicians (as opposed to the dealer's technicians). It may be splitting hairs, but I feel like with the technicians at the VPC doing the work we have a lesser chance of a mistake and higher accountability to BMW.
