Lots of BMW dealerships are doing this now and it means the tires are filled with pure nitrogen instead of regular air. It is believed by some nitrogen leaks slower out of the side of the tire than regular air does, and that the oxygen component actually breaks down the rubber faster. This may be good for a classic car on old original tires that just sits. However for new cars that are used more like daily drivers it's basically useless. Besides normal air is something like 78% nitrogen anyways-the cost associated to fill with nitrogen is not commensurate with any perceived or actual benefit. I made BMW take the green caps off my three series and didn't even put nitrogen in my M5 just because I didn't like the color of the caps
