To be fair, you can't know this until you have driven a broken in CP car hard - ideally on a track.

Granted, most of us will never do this - but then it's impossible to drive any F10 M5 at 9/10ths on standard roads where you'd really benefit from its capabilities - CP or not.

Since we're barely tapping into it's capability regardless, logic would dictate buying a 535d. At the end of the day, it's not logic that drives the decision to buy a super-sedan like the M5 - it's emotion/passion - the mental happiness that comes from knowing how much power lies within the beast, even if we rarely unleash it. From that perspective, CP makes no less sense than buying the car in the first place.

As an aside - any Jalops in here? Every time I see "CP" I think "crack pipe"!
