Thanks for pointing this out. Turns out I was just not paying close enough attention to what I was doing!

In older versions of google, the dialog box to send info to the car fit on 1 "page" and you could clearly see the label at the bottom noting that "Only the destination address will be sent". I recently got a new computer at work, and in the newer version of google the is a new drop down menu that appears to let you select whether you want to send the route or just the destination. The inclusion of this new field also pushed the note that "Only the destination address will be sent" off the first "page" of the dialog box which I hadn't noticed until this morning when your post prompted me to go back and look a little more closely.
