My guess is your dealer doesn't have a factory authorized repair/body work facility. If they did, then they would offer to take care of the whole thing and handle the claim from the other customer's insurance.

I remember someone once hit my Lexus. The person who hit me notified their insurance company. Their insurance company called and said I should give their info to the bodyshop. I gave the insurance info to the Lexus bodyshop and they handled everything including the claim. My insurance company was not even involved.
