I bought the tire and rim insurance since I live in a rural county and have gotten nails in every vehicle I own. My dealer said you cannot Patch these tires due to the speed rating. I was also told you can't fix these rims if they are damaged. They said $500 a tire and $2000 a rim. Sounded a bit high to me but I got the insurance for $2000 for five years. My dealer called this a no brainier and said claims on rim damage were quite common. I don't know that I agree with all that but at $400 a year one tire pays for it. Should I damage a rim I will come out way ahead. I was also told this insurance can only be bought at the time of delivery.
