0-62mph in 2.5 seconds is fast.
I have experience of Mitsubishi Evo's and Nissan Skyline GTR's (the older ones, not R35). These even in a very high state of tune circa 700-800
Wheel horsepower struggle to get below 2.9 seconds on normal asphalt.
They weigh a good 300kg's less than an M5, have 4WD, sticky tyres (Nitto 888's) and sequential dog engagement boxes. If they can't get down to 2.5 on anything other than a 'glued' dragstrip, there is no way on earth a big fat, RWD M5 is going to get there, even with a million horespower.
My conclusion is the claim intimated in post one is absolute shite.
