A section of the Magnuson Moss warranty act specifically states that a Dealer must show that the offending part caused the issue to prove it is out of warranty, hence you cannot have a BMW dealer telling you they can't replace your fuel pump because you have aftermarket springs on the car.

Thanks, I'll ask my dealership to elaborate on this. I know that KIA dealership in east europe made a warranty of a friend of mine because he illuminated the KIA badge on the hood
