definitely a great write up and in depth review. this is really valuable to potential buyers.

as you mentioned the "issues" with the M6, I couldn't agree more. My friends has an orange one and i sat in the car. he doesnt want to seat more than 2 people in the car. It is an eye catcher no doubt but that car attracts some unwanted attention being that colore..... he already got keyed.......
I think the problem with this car is that BMW tried whatever worked on the M5 and then simply moved to the M6. It is lighter but not that light. your point about the exhaust is one of the points that's really magnifies the "problem" of the M6. BMW tried to save money and they did. M6 should out perform the M5 significantly otherwise what's the point of buying M6 besides the looks and exclusiveness? and the M6 GC is even heavier than the M6.... ugh....
now BMW is still testing the new M3 which is a good thing!

I think the Perfect M car for the track would be this combo E46 M3 chassis with S65 engine running stand alone. just my opinion, that's it.
