Although not recommended, you can try out your tires and see if any adverse effect arises. If it works, then it's great and you save about $1500 or so.
Lastly, the speedometer may not be your biggest concern, proper braking or steering may be more of an issue.
Google 'incorrect tire size' or 'oversized tire problem & issue' will enable you to learn a bit more.

I'm not following you. You say my snows in 20" are 1 inch taller than my stock 20" wheels/tires? Stock profile for 20" is 35/30 f/r if I'm not mistaken.
