To everyone who is complaining about power output and concerned about performance... this line in the press release is very telling.

"The 4.4-litre engine develops top output of 412 kW/560 hp at 6,000 – 7,000 rpm, while its maximum torque of 680 Newton metres (502 lb-ft) is on tap between 1,500 and 5,750 rpm. The rev limiter intervenes at 7,200 rpm. The rev band, which offers extremely dynamic acceleration between the arrival of peak torque and the availability of maximum output, is therefore almost three times as wide as that of the predecessor unit."

Torque wins races, availability of that torque over a greater range wins races. Peak numbers (especially horsepower) don't mean a whole lot.

I'm not a huge fan of the design of the vehicle itself (the cheesy side vents and goofy painted calipers) but the engine seems like a gem. Should be fairly efficient too based on the literature and once people reduce restrictions in the intake/exhaust.
