I bought a 13 last March or April. I've only put about 3000 miles on it, but it's been rock solid so far. Had a complete service history. The only thing it has needed was new tires, and its in for an oil change and new front pads and rotors as we speak.
It's been on several long trips with no problems.
Having owned several M3s, my experience is the service history of an M car is more important than the year.
