I had an E39 M5. All were MTs. I loved it. Not as heavy as the F10, but similar in that it was a relatively large, heavy, powerful sedan. Even on dry roads for normal driving, I always started off in second gear. First was strictly for racing. And that thing wasn't a torque monster like the S63Tu.
