A battery on a then-new 2011 F10 died while it was parked on the street. Long story short, after about 6 hours of trying to free up the rear wheels, a flurry of phone calls to BMW Service, Assist, Jesus-Hotline, etc, 3 tow service trucks/drivers, and 3 BMW Service personnel from a nearby dealer on scene, it was determined that the car could not be moved, short of placing the rear wheels on a dally large and strong enough to support a 4200 lbs car. Lucky for all 7 of us, the dealer was 'only' a few miles away and we managed to push the car behind a slow moving tow truck which was pulling it from a weird angle to keep the dally from sliding from under the rear wheels.
After that experience, I decided not to buy another BMW product. Now, 2 years later, I'm about to pull the trigger on a new M car...But this post has brought back memories and just made my blood boil...some what...
