I think you will find the market for slip on tips is quite large. A lot of people don't want to go to a chop shop for welding, but a simple DIY slip on tips would have mass appeal. It's like the painted reflectors - everyone on the board buys them.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think factory tips are slip on tips. When I crawled under my car they were welded on there...unless I missed something
