I don't know, but I wonder what it does to the feel of the leather. The whole point of having a natural leather interior is the velvety butter smooth feel.
I use Leather Masters leather barrier, and while not permanent, it does have the same effect in preventing dye transfer and helping to make them come out easier. I use this once every three months, and then use the Leather Masters Protection Cream Matte more frequently.
