Very interesting! It looks like 0W30 might be a bit too thin? At least for the California summers and our engines producing immense amounts of heat.

5W30 would be a nice "in-between", but I won't run that since it's not recommended in both my online and physical manuals.

5W40 seems to be a no-go over 0W40.
