The e60 is playful, fun, bespoke, v10 epic sound. I miss that car. I may even pick up another 6MT someday.

The F10 is fast (very fast) and luxurious. I like it. I don't love it. It's numb. It's heavy. Steering is mediocre. Certainly the DCT is miles beyond the SMG. DCT is actually the best part of the car for me. The torque is great, but I prefer linear and immediate NA throttle response. I'll also credit the F10's chassis and suspension, which is amazingly good at handling the weight of the car. It plows through just about anything without becoming unsettled.

The F10 is a good car. I was going to sell it but values have fallen through the floor, and as an all rounder, there aren't any others I would clearly prefer. That said, when I look back a year or two from now, I won't miss the F10

If I were in your shoes, I would keep the e60 as the sedan and spend your money on a very special 2 seater that's lightweight and nimble as a counterpoint.
