I would probably agree if BMW's stated purpose and slogan was the "Ultimate Driver's Car" which clearly they are not saying. Driving is more than a quarter-mile drag race. Moreover, unlike the European paradigm of a rounded vehicle, races like these have typically been the American canon for measuring a car's ability.
