Not sure if this helps the discussion, but the dealer used beta clean and beta link when installing mine. The tape they used is in the pics. Beta Link also results in it being a bit more flush with the surface than using tape.

In my excitement, I thought I'd save some time and remove the spoiler which was easy. The goo was another story. Beta Clean made short work of it and I felt pretty silly for not just waiting.

We let it set for 12 hours at about 20 degrees celcius before i even drove the car. They had tape that they use for installation of spoilers to hold it in place... it was stickier than painter's or masking tape but not as sticky as the tape used to seal boxes. Certainly not as strong as duct tape. Did the job.

No issues 3 months later.
