Michelin Pilot Super Sport run-flats?

It is being reported that the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will have run-flat Michelin PSS's. Having lived (i.e, broken down with a flat tire) multiple times in my E46 M3, and now being the owner of a M6 (also without a spare or run-flats), I am curious if these run-flat PSS's are any good, and if so, whether they can be used on the M's without severely compromising performance.

Also, it will be intersting to learn more about the Vet's seven-speed manual transmission with Chevy's "Active Rev Matching" technology. As you all already know, fewer and fewer cars have manual transmissions, and there has not been many advancements in manual transmission technology in recent years, so it is laudable that Chevy has made this commitment.
