Your right, the minutes a lap takes - time does not exist - your filled with adrenalin - just like you say - you just focus on driving the safe and fast way - doing all the turns - passing cars - let cars pass - the engine revs, gears changes, the braking throws you around - the engine bangs you back against the seat - next turn shows up in a tunnel vision - you ride the the curve with 1 g of side-forces - you can hear smell feel the tires sticks to the tarmac - and wooops - your finished - you can't believe the 8 or 9 minutes are gone.
The lovely m3GTS was really "Porschelized" there for some minutes - I believe he woke up there at the entrance of Bergwerk - you need to be "in the zone" at the Ring, its actually no room for other thoughts in your head during a lap - unlike the rest of a quite unfocused world.
Adrenalin is good - and you have to earn it.
