When you do this, you're really only sending the address to the car. The car's NAV is still doing all the work. It's not following any Google directions. That would be quite the programming achievement if it worked that way.

Maybe your previous problems were caused by entering a vague address?
I have been entering specific street addresses. Everything it asks for.
