First round of mods are complete...
For exhaust - we opted for Akrapovic's latest iteration of their Evolution system for the F10 M5, complete with the latest and greatest in valvetronic technology.
Hard Facts:
- plus 10hp @ 5950rpm
- plus 12.5 lb/ft torque @ 5200rpm
- minus 27.1 lbs from bulky OEM equipment
The full Evolution exhaust system consists of newly developed dual-outlet mufflers with exhaust valves, flow-optimized pipes, and an unique cast titanium X-pipe with resonators.
As expected from Akrapovic, fit and finish is perfect. We've found in some instances, that Akrapovic exhaust systems fit even better than OEM equipment!
Given the sophisticated machinery they utilize and the amount of R&D that goes into each and every component of their exhaust systems, it is no surprise that Akrapovic is chosen as the exclusive technology partner relative to BMW's safety car program.
To accent the rear end, we custom painted the lower diffuser portion gloss black.
Last but not least, we added an OEM Carbon Fiber Trunk Spoiler to finish off the rear end.
