I doubt there will be significant drop in prices post launch of F90 M5. If anything Dec/Jan is a good time to buy when you could squeeze a good bargain. I got my M5 last month after tracking prices since July/August. I think prices tend to be more during summers but this could be just my observation.

If you are in no rush, best to look out for a high spec car, better still with a CP.

You will get a decent 13 or early 14 plate for around 30-32k. Of course, if you are after BMW approved then that would be another 3-4K dearer. I am not sure that is worth it. I got mine through an independent dealer and got RAC comprehensive checks done. You could take out BMW or third company warranty (Motoreasy etc) to be safe and still save money.
