The advancements in technology and manufacturing is the reason the M6 and M5 are the best cars BMW makes right now and IMO are the pinnacle of BMW M engineering. The upcoming M3/M4 will build on all of the tech currently in our cars. I have no doubt that the new M3/M4 will be a segment leader and benchmark in terms of technology and carbon fiber use for weight reduction.
All of us have our opinions, for instance, I believe that the E92 M3 is the last of the great organic/mechanical driving experience. E92 M3 = SOUL.
