Sonax Wheel Cleaner Full Effect works very well. When you spray the Sonax, a chemical reaction takes place and the Sonax reacts with the iron deposits and turns it purple so you know where they are. You can use a brush for stubborn deposits and after a few minutes just wash out well with water. Just don't let the Sonax dry up on the wheel as the instructions also cautions you against that.
