700HP is the new 500HP. I would be surprised if marketing conscious BMW would come out that far under the new Panamera S target.

What M branch may have been planning for a year or two ago may now be underrated for the emerging high-end sedan market (unless you get to the same place or better with dramatic weight savings).
Aboslutely concur with this analysis. Even with the weight savings, I feel BMW will keep the HP inline with their cohorts.
