You know - while it is ridiculous to us, I have seen these cars sell at these mark ups in South Florida.
The thing about the M5 is that it is a very special car. A Bentley may be nicer, but it won't drive like the M5. I know people with net worth well over a hundred million who own M5s for day to day use. For some of those people the markup may not be as important as getting the car quickly.
Not defending the dealer. I'm just saying the market may be there. It is shame on BMW for not imposing price discipline.
