Upgrades for reliability on 2013 550i
Hello all,
Just picked up a 2013 550i with only 18k miles on it. Called up a service center to see if I was eligible for the oil consumption diagnostic or possible engine replacement. Unfortunately missed the claim last year in November. Was wondering if there was any mechanical upgrades I can make myself to make the engine more reliable, or any maintenance tips y'all can provide. Thanks! |

You landed on the F10 M5 forum instead of the 5 series F10. However the same should apply. Regular oil changes of no more than 7500 miles and routine maintenance. Good luck with the ride. Also nice find with less than 18K miles on the clock.

150k miles on our unmodified factory engine. Like Blaxwil said keep up on the fluid changes. Wish I could find another one at 18k miles. Congrats!!!
