Right rear suspension damage

I was driving to work on a narrow, windy downhill road. I hit something, I’m guessing the curb but not sure. Had a bunch of warning. Lights come on. Car was dropped off at a local Indy specialty shop. Got a call saying the estimate is 5k. He said upper and lower arms were bent. Haven’t had a chance to got see it on the lift in person.

Pricing out BMW branded parts it still seems like a high estimate. I feel like an idiot and my tail is between my legs. Wasn’t driving fast or erratic. I have no idea how it happened. I will admit my mind was a bit preoccupied.

Great first post, a little over a month of ownership…

I'm assuming it's undriveable in its condition, so towing to another shop for another estimate is out of the question. Do you have the ability to perform the work yourself? The majority of maintenance/fixes on these can be significantly cheaper if you have the time/ability/tools to perform the work yourself.

Y'all don't have flatbed tow trucks in Colorado?
