To access the Junction Box/Front Fuse panel (Z7)? Need to drop the passenger side bottom panel, which also has the knee airbag, and to the right of the glovebox, you will see the fuse panel...see picture below...

If on the other hand you are trying to get to the lighter harness in the center console, you may be able to quickly access it on the passenger side center console, after removing the lower carpet panel...else you will need to remove the top two center console pieces (two piece design - rear portion is the shifter, the front portion is the ash tray)

Should I put wires under the fuse ? Or have to connect into the empty spots ?

I'll let you decide, but your B&O (E201) +12VDC power is shared with other consumers...so putting it on F26 is OK....

Sorry....catching up...can you re-ask the question that is still relevant?

Radio_On Signal:

NBT EVO + Active Sound: A42.1B Pin 13 Black Wire to Active Sound A233.1B Pin 10
NBT EVO + HiFi: A42.1B Pin 13 Black Wire to A37 Amp A37.1B Pin 10

Radio_On Signal:

NBT EVO + Active Sound: A41.2B Pin 13 Black Wire to Active Sound A233.1B Pin 10
NBT EVO + HiFi: A41.2B Pin 13 Black Wire to A37 Amp A37.1B Pin 10
Do you have a pic of it? Bc the one you mentioned before is for NBT old one, the evo has different pinout. And yes , since the fuse box is way too far , gonna catch a lighter! Still in process. Thanks again for ur help!

I am looking up the wiring on TIS for you...and on my last post provided what TIS states is the Radio_On signal connector/pin assignment per the NBT EVO....so if you can't find it on the radio unit, then I know it's available on the AMP in the left rear of your luggage compartment....

My F85 already has B&O so taking a picture of mine probably won't help....

Let me know how else I can assist....

Based on the wiring on your A42.1B connector, it neither has HiFi nor Active Sound.....since your pin 13 isn't populated.

Maybe you could check to see if your radio still produces the "Radio_On" signal and you could populate a wire in slot 13.....

Also, this thread is on the F10 M5 forum and you're asking about the F15 X5...so I had to go back to all the previous posts and update to reflect the F15 and not the F10...similar systems, but their connectors references and wiring colors are slightly different....

Ok thanks. Yeah the road to the cigarette lighter was way tooo long. But at the end of the day I was finally able to turn my speaker on and just check it's not a defective one.. so will try tomorrow that pin you pointed and also if there's any tips I need to know being a f15 owner - let me know

How do you fix that buzzing sound from the front center speaker? Sometimes on acceleration at a certain RPM. Didn't the TIS document say put some extra tape somewhere underneath?

Just tried it now .. no luck .. no power at all.

UPD actually it has power , but not the "Radio_on" one. Goes up when I unlock the car and down 2 mins after lock. Gonna try to find a pin connected with the screen. I want it goes up when the screen turning on (ignition switched on) and down when the screen turning off. Wish it's possible

You have obviously the NBT EVO system, but your radio is the basic? Speakers driven directly from the radio, no amp? Let me look at the schematic again to see if there is another signal to tap.

[EDIT: So if you have a basic radio, no speaker amp, then there is no signal to tap....you'll have to get creative]

I thought your lighter power is only available when ignition is on (?)....and although it doesn't shut off right away, it should shortly...all power consumers hanging off the K5 relay (KI.30) is considered "ignition on" power. I think the lighter is on the 12-min after run shut-off time.....never measured, so not sure.

Went out to check, but I don't have a lighter element in my lighter sockets....

I'd look at VO enabling the HK speaker system to see if your speaker basics still work AND Pin 13 Radio_ON becomes active...(note PIN 13 is used by the external Amplifier for the HK and B&O systems)...but this is just a thought.

You can actually power on/off the radio w/o hitting the start/stop button....and it too shuts off in 12-min if no other actions are taken within the vehicle (need to look in the User's Manual to verify)
