This is Holland btw.
The looks and interior of the jag are soooo 2008.

M5 rules for me.

Good video. That jag color looks like Laguna seca blue

It's funny that the m5 is always compared to more pure sports cars now like the GT-R and this jag. At this performance level I guess you run out of sedan competition fast

I agree I don't think it's quite fair for an M5 Sedan to be compared/tested against a two door coupe sports car, but it appears the M5 can hold its own no matter what class of car it is compared against!

I really like the XK-RS. See a white one around here sometimes.

Oh I agree. It's definitely a huge compliment for the m5!

Blonde guy in the Jag looked like a tight fit. Reminded me of B.P. Richfield from the old TV show Dinosaurs.

Translation.

These guys are great. Here's a quick translation of what they were on about.

1) The M5 is all business and underneath a true Hell's Angel.

2) The Jaguar XKR-S is the only Jag that nicely matches up with the M5 both on paper and in terms of dynamics. The XFR however didn't even match up to the previous generation E60 M5.

3) They both expect the F10 M5 to crush the Jag XKR-S.

4) The M5 has improved in every aspect since it's even more usable in every situation. From a super fast 5 Series in comfort to a raging sports car in Sport +.

6) The M5's gearbox is pure magic. It does exactly what you tell it to do and it doesn't have a mind of its own.

5) The F10 M5 steering feel is A BIT too clinical and is lacking in feel. There's bothersome initial understeer when chucking the M5 in the corner. The XKR-S has a more direct steering feel and steers in more immediate. However the XKR-S is a handful and intimidating to drive aggressively.

7) The paddle shifters are a bit small but they're happy BMW utilizes the proper gearbox configuration with pull-back upshifts and push-forward downshifts when using the gear lever.

Conclusion: They're in awe of the M5's range of abilities, its gearbox, engine, and features, but they hint that the Jag XKR-S is the bigger thrill - and handful.

Hope this helped!

While the F10 M5 will be my dream car until the next one comes out, the xkrs looks amazinggg in person.

Jag looks fantastic. A lot more rare.

Honestly all the performance cars coming out these days are amazing, by all companies. Can't go wrong really.

I drove both cars too. Rear diff of the Jaq feels like an open diff. Inside wheel smoke. It has some sort of E brake diff.

The Jaq has so much front end grip that it gives you in real fast cornering no confidence on the road.

The M5 how ever is so much better in every way. You always want a little bit off understeer. You just don t want a car which turns in so sharply that the back end can hardly follow.

The sound of the jaq was awesome. But it s the M5 for me no doubt about that. It s the driving machine steer on throttle lovely to throw around. Bmw always has it s car balance perfect. The jag is miles away from that.

Thanks for the feedback advevo. Seems no car out there currently does the what the m5 can in terms of being a Swiss army knife of the ultra performance car segment.

Wouldn't exactly call it a pure sports car. They are rather heavy and luxury is up there.

I totally agree....especially since the Jag price point is around $130k USD, is 2 doors, etc and then M5 loaded will be around $100k.
