There must be something wrong with that drag-race. Is F10 M5 really that much faster???
what the hell. Is there any scientific limit on revolution for BMW??

I had a shock the other day when i looked up the F10 M5's 0-200 kmh on fastestlaps.com. It beat so many supercars it is not funny. The interesting thing is that the M5 is not quicker in the 1/4 mile, but much faster after that.

Although the preview was misleading, judging by the way they were acting on the show(very rushed and no time for debate), they were definitely being rushed. Top gear never ends a review that abruptly. They are much better at editing than to do so. Having two guests in one show im sure was the reason they edited it. My guess is maybe they tried to schedule one of the two guests before but werent sure of it and the guest comfirmed the very last minute having to re-edit the show on short notice. Great car nontheless.
Now we have to wait till at least the summer for season 19. Oh well. At least F1 should keep me preoccupied. Go hamilton.

Clarkson quoted the lap time at the end of the video, 29.2
It's wet lap time is 3 sec slower than the e60's dry lap time. I need to watch again, but it looked like Hammond jumped the start in the drag race. |

Yeah he said 1:29.3 but that it was really wet or something along those lines, I'd hope in the summer series they'll rerun it in the dry around the track, and maybe have Clarkson drive it in a race vs. something else. This car deserves more than the 7 minutes or so it go in this episode, still badass nonetheless. They packed so much in that episode it's insane.

RE: synthesized sound - "That's kind of cheesy isn't it?" Haha - my sentiments exactly.
Great review - sounds very similar to how I feel about the M3 vs. the regular 3. I always get a kick out of people saying that the 328 or the 335 are better daily drivers. I've driven them both and my M3 is more comfortable than either and outperforms them at the limit. EDC makes such a huge difference. The fact that the M cars can be driven in traffic or on your daily comfortably, but can still be driven to the limit, is what they are all about for me. I know this isn't what some people want out of an M car. I can respect that, but I think it's an astonishing achievement and, in most ways, far more difficult than building a purpose-built track vehicle. |

Also not impressed with this car... 2 turbos and a V8 it better be fast.. the E60 had/ has style and sometimes that matters more.
