Bmw's wheels warranty & powdercoating

Anyone know if you get the wheel warranty with bmw, and you powder-coat the wheels, would that void the warranty by any chance?

This guy's finance manager said powder coating doesn't negate warranty

But best to ask yours just to make sure. You thinking of powder coating them black?

Yea i am. Im getting a AW and want to go with the dark wheels, so im debating of powdercoating the stock 20's an getting the bmws wheels warranty. Or mayb i get a new aftermarket set of rims but then no bmws warranty and on my e92 that was a pain since i didnt have it and i drive alot to nyc which the roads couldnt be any worse.

I would get this in writing if they approve it. I can just see them now saying the baking process caused weakening of the wheel should you crack or bend it.
