It's special, but this was a very common color of this model. I've seen almost only black ones an in this bordeaux color.

I really enjoy these kinds of reviews. I even like the varied opinions. Remember, he already has an E30 M3 at home. Having the Benz next to it is a really cool idea.

Man... I need a bigger garage.

Damn there are some whiners and apologists on this thread!

Thanks for an awesome video, I watched it on the TV last night. Before I was into german cars at all, (although I was a BMW fan from the outside), I loooooved the look of the 190.

To this day, I still think it'd be a killer car to own, I'd positively love to pick one up. It goes without saying that I'd love to have an E30 M3 as well, but I've driven a bunch, and they're all over the BMW community, so it's less rare and desirable in that way. It's not to say I wouldn't prefer the E30 M3 longer term, but I'd be more interested in initially picking up a 190.

the 190E 2.3-16V was made in order to be in rallys...
And seeing the success,
BMW followed Merc with the e30 M3, which also needed to comply to the rally rule of having a production car
