"Finishing Touches" - M5POST

What exactly does this mean on the BMW NA tracking site? I know the ship was due into the Georgia port on 8/31, but I can't help but think the recent hurricane would've delayed the cars arrival to Houston.

Just wondering if anyone has an info on what this means. I am currently in Singapore and the dealer won't get back to me until they open in around nine hours.

It means that it arrived stateside and awaiting transport to your dealer.

Finishing touches means it's at the VPC center, should be at your dealer in 3-5 days maybe earlier.

JC, keep in mind the voice recording and the web site are up to 48 hours behind where your car actually is. It's not real time. The website and voice recording say my car is at the port, when in fact it is sitting at the dealership! Picking up tonight!

Your dealer can tell you where the car is at exactly.

Car is actually at the dealership now getting the 'finishing touches' before delivery. My pops is going to arrange to pick it up when its ready and hopefully he'll have enough miles on the car to get the break-in service done by the time I get back to Houston towards the end of the month. I want to taste the entire 560hp during my first drive
