Those pics are quite impressive. I've got my M5 safely in my possession but my wife's new 7 is on the Florida Hwy. It was supposed to dock in VA on 10/28 and was just off the NJ coast Sunday morning but it just disappeared from the map off the coast and there has not been any update on the location.

Hoping it got out of the way and her car is unscathed

Well, I'm not a BMW owner but having googled 'hurricane sandy porgy' I was brought here. First of all, I hope they're all prepared for it over there and that injuries are minimal.

Secondly, I have to share your sheer worry. I have a car on there and boy am I glad I took marine insurance and didn't risk it as all others had suggested. That still doesn't take away the fact that I was tracking it regularly on vesselfinder before it decided to disappear. I wondered why it was sailing out to the middle of the sea, they must have had advanced warning of it and went around.

I can confirm through official channels that it's due to dock on the 1st November now instead of the 28th. I'm now going to miss a really impressive show which REALLY sucks.

It looks like those 3-4 days will be added to each further port stop :-(

Thanks for the update! Vesselfinder and marinetraffic still can't see this ship for some reason, strange as they could before.

What's odd is that this app is Marine Traffic. Porgy showed up as per the screenshot above. When I did a search just now, it is no longer showing up!

Bizarre! I thought I was going mad after seeing your pic, lol. I checked every reputable free tracking site and they didn't have updates from 28th so I assumed you had paid access to a more accurate site or something!

Still can't see that info you're seeing. I tried Marine Traffics website and it says out of range, just as vesselfinder does

I can't find this information on the Marine Traffic website, so thanks for the update.

I'm hoping we get through Customs and VPC quickly. I'd like to pick it up from the dealer next week. Fortunately, I don't have the oil pump recall, so that should help.

Yes there is something wrong with the AIS. Apart from the above info, I have not been able to track it to arrival. It went dark again.

I'm now looking here, entering VIN as cargo id. it should be unloaded today or tomorrow.

You must have caught it at just the right time, still nothing from here

Cheers for the link, not quite as exciting as watching the movements on vesselfinder but gives you an indication.

Have you got a car on there yourself, or are you just being really helpful?

My car is on there. Returning from the European Delivery. Pending oil pump replacement.

It's been an epic wait. I dropped it off on November 23rd, so I am online all the time trying to figure out when it arrives. Since I'm always travelling it's hard to figure out when to fly to Atlanta to pick it up.

Wow, I feel your pain mate. Don't even ASK about my delays.. It was meant to be here by now, not just setting off. Damage, miscommunication, incompetency etc.

I believe if the car is damaged, BMW will fix it and you won't even know about the damage :-(

It's a shame they didn't replace the oil pump during the 2.5 weeks the car sat at Bremerhaven.

Porgys AIS is working again every few minutes which is nice. They haven't changed the arrival times for the rest of the ports so perhaps they're going into overdrive now
