Do you have these in a titanium finish too? Also are they slip on like the stock tips?

No install pictures yet sorry. To install tips you must cut and weld its very simple any muffler shop can do it for you. At the moment only dry carbon tips are available but I can get any finish made if there is enough demand

It must be possible because Wald makes them for other cars. They sell dual tips for $400. I would pay a $1000 for slip on OEM fit quad tips with a look similar to 3D Design perhaps 95mm.

And also I prefer Titanium or OEM-style chrome to carbon. I think you will find the market for slip on tips is quite large. A lot of people don't want to go to a chop shop for welding, but a simple DIY slip on tips would have mass appeal. It's like the painted reflectors - everyone on the board buys them.

The factory tips on the M5 are slip on. I replaced mine with a set of OEM tips I had powder coated black. Took all of 5 minutes.

Tips are for cosmetic purposes only... it will not change the tone or sound at all.
We are able to make titanium or stainless tips to slide over the factory inlet pipes...didnt know the factory tips came off so easily ![]() Let me know which finish you guys prefer and if there is enough demand it can be done. As far as carbon tips go it will be a bit trickier so give me another few more days to see if its doable |

Is titanium easier to clean than stainless?

I want either one of these:
1) Double layer stainless steel with chrome finish (like OEM) 2) Double-layer Titanium with polished finish (like Akrapovic F10 M5 Titanium tailpipes)

Carbon tips we are still working on it need to see if it can be done no promises at the moment.
This is my opinion but if your going to spend extra money on titanium might as well get them with blue burnt treatment? I can get stainless steel silver polish for a lot cheaper and you probably wont see any differences. Unless you want titanium tips for bragging rights ![]() I believe oem tips are stainless steel. these are silver polish tips ![]() |
