How do I play a DVD?

Ok, I put a DVD in the player, it loaded up, I get to the menu to select scenes, play movie, etc. However, I can't figure out how to move to different selections on the DVD menu, or press enter.

All I see are the play, forward, back, buttons etc in the iDrive menu, but play doesnt start the movie. Really didnt think it would be this hard. Thanks for the help!

I have same problem. Plays sometimes and not others. Does disc have to buffer to hard drive? Does my pressing the sound mute button make it work? Very confused and handbook no help.

I can play trailers, and the actual movie all the scene selections show up, but I can't play the movie. The sound is awesome, but not sure why it will not play the movie?

Do you have rear seat entertainment?

If you are trying to do this on the control display, then you must have the handbrake on. On rear seat screens you shouldn't have issues.

I don't have the rear entertainment, and I was parked in the garage fiddling with it.

I have rear entertainment. I coded the speeds and handbrake out so I can watch while driving. Problem seems to be regardless of coding as other owners have made complaints.

I get absolutely nothing when trying to play a DVD on the center console...just an "unknown" next to the disc icon.

I waited a good couple of minutes. In park, e-brake on.
