Has anyone had any issues with H&R on the F10?

I've heard some say that H&R's have given issues... but I can't seem to figure out exactly what those issues are.....

Anyone have any insight on this?

Silly question I am sure but does one loose the computer dampening/adjustments (sport/comfort) to the suspension if and when the after market ones are installed?

Not with springs alone. you currently do with coil overs.

about 1k miles on my H&R's with zero issues... I push the car hard in the turns at high speed bends and sharp curves. I have not noticed any noises, thumps, or loss in handling. H&R got it right with the these springs plus you dont go all stupid with the slammed look; 1 inch up front and .6 of an inch in the back.

I run the sport plus setting on the dampeners and I honestly can not tell the difference from the stock set up even on decent longer drives on Cali freeways.

Here is a shot of mine with the drop:

Here is the real test. Can you go to Starbucks. Buy a grande coffee and place it in the cup holder. Then drive to work without any spilling?

In my M3 with H&R springs, that above maneuver always resulted in coffee explosions and multiple f bombs!!

I loved the look and handling, but ride quality was brutal on uneven pavement!!

LOL Id fail that test with the stock springs. All joking aside the springs do not make much of a difference, if any, ride quality wise. I can not really discern but Im probably also justifying my purchase. But others who have rode in my car prior and after had no clue.

I think it has to do with the limited drop and car weight too- I had RD sport springs on my E92 M3 and I could easily tell the difference but the car is lighter and the drop was more extreme.

The shocks provide more of the feedback that would label a suspension as harsh. The springs set the height and a protective layer before you bottom out. Switching just the springs does not degrade the ride quality as much as putting in aftermarket shocks.

Did you vinyl wrap the roof? If so, did you remove the shark fin during the wrapping?

Yes I did the vinyl wrap but no shark fin removal. They made very precise cuts around it so you cant tell. I had the option of getting the fin done but it was late in the day and truthfully I dont care if its done or not.

I can't even do that with stock springs.

That's funny cause that exact thing pisses me off with my M3. The answer is, no issue with the M5 at all. 21" wheels and H&R springs, and I've never spilled a drop.

That is the exact answer I was looking for! Just need to find an installer for my springs...

Had Motorwerks install them. Charged way more than I would have been charged in Orange County, but with the lack of shops here in Houston, I think its worth to pay a little more to ensure good work.

I am scheduled to have the springs installed this coming Friday @ EAS. I will post pics as well as report in with my opinion on ride quality. Fingers Crossed.

I was at EAS yesterday doing a dyno on my C63 Black... Tom, Steve and team are awesome and their setup is excellent. You dont need to worry about crossing your fingers in regards to them or the springs.
