Rremoving side view mirror caps

Anybody know how to easily remove the side view mirror caps? supposedly its easy, but I cant seem to get them to come off.

nevermind... for those who want to know.... you just pull until you think they're going to break.... then POP! they come off

What held it in there. They have those nice carbon fibre replacement ones for our cars. Bmw just wants an arm and leg for them. For shits and giggles, I asked them how much was their front grills, and they told me something like 140 for one side!!! Glad I have the matt black ones from trinity.

There are a couple of clips, thats all. the caps are meant to "pop" in and out so that is definitely the correct way to remove them.

I'll be posting pics once my car is complete. Should only be a couple more weeks!
