Hood Options
Just wondering what everyone thinks about the stock hood on the F10 M5. Am I the only one out there that thinks the M5 should have gotten a distinctive hood that separates it from all of the other 5 series vehicles? A power bulge, tasteful louvers or something along those lines.

Yes - im with you. I love the hood bulge on the M3. Doing my research I found that the M3 bulge came about since the engine actually couldnt fit, and has become a trademark of the car. I guess the M5 is suuposed to be subtle, so no bulge. My greatest fear of the LCI was a different hood.

I think the entire point of the M5 is to have a more classic, wolf in sheeps clothing look which they definetly went away with for the e60 but are back for the F10. The m3 on the other hand not only needed it with the last V8 engine due to those glorious trumpet intake manifold but its also a sportier more race car type car that is marketed for such
