You can hear the wheelspin every time he accelerates. BMW must have sanctioned the drive in that weather with the summer tyres as I can imagine the uproar if he had crashed the car and hurt himself.

He incorrectly states the functions of M1 and M2 buttions. These can be programmed with any of the drive parameters you choose. He says M1 is for Sport and M2 is for Sport+. However you could reverse those and even set both for normal if you want. What he should have done is described the 4 driving parameters you can choose and explain any combo of these could be programmed into the M buttons at your choosing.

What's interesting is that they got the weight down on the M3 down to a low option 328i. If BMW invested similar tricks into the M5, it would be a 3800-3900 pound car, and would truly be dramatically better performing.
By no means am I knocking the M5. I had the pleasure of riding in a new one, god that car is a rocket ship and so beautifully luxurious. The seats, the sound (I happen to like they way it sounds) everything about it just felt high end and awesome. I just wish it had its proportions but was the size somewhere between e39 and e60. Hell, the new M3 is only 6 inches shorter than an e39!

I came from the E92 M3 and decided I wanted a car with more usable power on a daily basis. I am very impressed with it's off-the-lot handling for a car of its size. Honestly, I have no complaints. The same went with the E92 M3. The M3 shined on the track. This car eats up the street. Definitely no complaints when you throw in the BnO sound, exec seats and Class-A fit and finish. Worth every penny.
