The rears are in the red on the tread gauge on both the outside and the inside. The inside is where the thread is showing though, but either way the tires are done since its red across the entire tread.
Pics uploaded in original post. Seems like Michelin Super Sports are back ordered in both 295/30/20 and 305/30/20 though, WTF! So I ordered a pair of Nitto NT05 305/30/20 for my rears. Coming in tomorrow.

You're showing cord… very bad.
That tire is DONE. I'd have the alignment checked. Looks like camber wear but could also be toe. Toe is much harder on tires than camber. Is the car lowered? |

But let's know your experience after you install them since they are 10mm wider than original Michelin tires

Yup, I'm hoping for better traction from both the tire change and the extra width. I can't wait to try it out tomorrow after install.
I wanna see how it effects my power slides, standing start, and rolling accelerations compared to the Michelin PSS.

For sure you have better traction and better handling at curves when you are driving on dry/even roads. You must be a little careful when the road is wet since they have less grooves compare to PSS

Running 305/30/20 Nitto NT05's on the REAR as of today
BTW, if anyone wondered about fitment or rubbing -- there is none, and thats on my competition package M5 which makes it lower than a standard M5; and the tires fit fine on the stock M5 wheels.
