Viper vs the world at Pocono raceway (roll racing)
Sorry gents, not driving the M5 anymore, which I had last year at this event. But hey, who doesn't love a good roll race!!
It was definetly a fun day at the track with a great a diversity of cars and a great group of enthusiasts. There ended up being 3 Gen V Vipers there. I had some issues with my gopro early in the day, but managed to capture a few good races. I should note that my car reached 900 miles on the way to Pocono raceway... vs Ferrari 458 I don't know what this guy was doing but didn't seem to want a re-do.. vs C7 Z06 Super nice guy with track experience. Said he had some cooling mods to the car but otherwise stock. vs Porsche 997.2 Turbo S One badass car. This later 997 has the PDK dual clutch tranny. Built by Champion Motorsports, with FBO and meth injection. 9 second car all day. This thing off the line is a complete animal. Also a super cool dude. I think had we gone another gear I could have come back some... vs 2008 Porsche Turbo Another FBO car. This is an earlier gen 997 with a manual. Nice guy with a well prepped car. He said he had a Cobb tune, full header back exhaust, lightweight flywheel and clutch and intercoolers. vs Gen 4 Procharged Mustang FBO said the car made 650whp on a good day but prob 620 that day.

Yesterday I raced 2015 Z06 x3. He got the jump but once I was in Midrange I started pulling up on him but we ran out of room. He only had 3/4 car on me. I will post up the vid when his friend sends it to me. I lost the race since it was a short run but otherwise it showed how strong my car was pulling.

Most were 60 to 140s or so.

Great runs. I think you would have lost more ground if you both would have gone another gear vs the 997.2, the PDK just shifts so much faster than any manual....

Actually my trap speed was higher so I was making up ground and would have powershifted 5th and lost little ground.

Hard to tell without testing... In order to achieve maxmum velocity in the viper you need to work. In the m5 you can just sit back and feel the power. 4th gear in the m5 was nuts.... I need to race a solid m5

I believe a tune only dct m5 on 93+ will run with your ecu'd viper , both trap ~ 130mph. Shifting needs to be perfect in the viper though....
